Students, faculty and staff are invited to register for the annual Women in IT conference, to be hosted by the Higher Diploma IT Department Dubai Women’s College on Wednesday, 27 February 2008.
Held under the patronage of His Excellency Sheikh Nahayan Mabarak Al Nahayan, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research and Chancellor of the HCT, the conference will present international guests speaking about “Green IT”.
Fariba Partwai, Senior IT officer at Washington DC’s International Monetary Fund, is the keynote speaker and will address the topic “ICT Sector and the Environmental Impact”.
The first Women in IT conference was held in 2005. The aim of the conference is to bring together IT students, graduates, and key industry players to discuss Women in IT issues and address employment and career opportunities in the UAE IT sector.
