HCT-Dubai honors outstanding female students

More than 50 students were recently celebrated at the 3rd Student Award Ceremony at Higher Colleges of Technology – Dubai (HCT-Dubai) / Women’s Campus.

The event was held with the aim of recognizing students who had won awards throughout the year in the presence of guest of honor Mirza Al Sayyegh, President, Al Maktoum Foundation, Dr. Howard Reed, HCT-Dubai Director, teaching staff and students’ families.

“At HCT-Dubai, we believe in educating the whole person, and we offer programs and services to help our students develop to their fullest potential” said Dr. Amna Al Mazam, Dean, Health Sciences and Student Development.

“The Student Award Ceremony is a celebration of students who are excelling not only in their studies, but through the many co-curricular and extra-curricular activities offered. We want to focus on highlighting student success even more and to have a ceremony at a time when families and employers could join us for this celebration” she added.

Student Hessa Bin Ahmed bin Hafeth received a Special Achievement Award while Applied Communications student Alia Al Shamlan, received the Director’s Leadership Award for not only achieving academic excellence, but also making a mark as a student leader.

Other categories of Students’ Awards for this year included Outstanding Student Awards, Holistic Student Development Achievement Award, Speech Competition, Academic Departments Awards among others.
