A group of five ADMC Foundations Program students were recently received by H.E. Sheikh Nahayan Mabarak Al Nahayan, Chancellor of the Higher Colleges of Technology, as they won a category first prize in the 5th edition of the Majid Bin Mohammed Youth Media Competition in Dubai.

The competition was organized under the theme “Show Your Talent” and the five Abu Dhabi Men’s College students received the award under the Media Campaign category.

The students’ video was entitled “Abu Dhabi – Past & Future”, which included scenes from the Cultural Village and the way people used to live in the past; how Abu Dhabi looked in the past; and how it merged into the 21st century.

The College was extremely proud of the five students, who are Badir Ghaith Nasir Al Hosany, Sultan Ahmed Salem Al Thahab, Jassim Mohamed Al Ali, Hussain Ismail Al Hosani, and Dheyab Khaled Mubarek Al Nuaimi.

The awards are to recognize and reward original thought and design by young Emiratis, and to encourage them to explore new directions in Media.

Dr. Tayeb Kamali, Vice Chancellor of Higher Colleges of Technology said: “The students clearly have a great future ahead of them as they have just won a media category prize before they have started their studies in Media! They submitted their applications independently, and their initiative has been recognized and rewarded.”

The students thanked H.E. Sheikh Nahayan Mabarak Al Nahayan for his support and encouragement of the student’s projects.
