In line with the UAE 40th Anniversary and the IIA Global 70th Anniversary, the Higher Colleges of Technology took part in the Internal Audit Festival which is organized by the Board of Governors of the UAE Internal Audit Association (UAE-IAA).
The Audit festival commenced on the December 11 and will go through until December 24, 2011, covering all the Emirates. Lectures about internal auditing took place at all HCT campuses of HCT on December.
This festival is the first of its kind anywhere in the world, aiming at raising awareness of the Internal Audit as a profession by stressing on the key role of the Internal Auditors in both private and public sectors.
The festival started with the launching of the Arabic version of the Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) professional certification.
