The late Sheikh Zayed's trusted advisor Suhail Al Yabhouni is featured in the film A Falcon Will Not Breed a Dove, shown at the Al Ain Colleges.
The Al Ain Colleges were honored to be the first venue outside of the Abu Dhabi Film Festival to hold a viewing of the historical documentary A Falcon Will Not Breed a Dove.
The film takes a close look at the life of Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the founding father and driving force behind the establishment of the United Arab Emirates.
The story is told by one of his most trusted and loyal advisors, Suhail Al Yabhouni, a man who devoted his life to serving the late ruler.
The film is a moving testimony to a man who had a vision of what his people could achieve if given the opportunity. It shows as a man who held deep compassion for his fellow country men and women, but at the same time knew that for the new country to advance and become a strong nation state his people had to demonstrate a willingness to work hard and make sacrifices.
The falcon as a metaphor for willpower, strength and success is a strong theme throughout this brilliant documentary.
Its key message is that hard work, determination and sacrifice for others can help anyone achieve any goal no matter how many obstacles cross their path.
The Director of Al Ain Colleges, Mr. Tim Smith, remarked that His Highness Sheik Zayed is still an inspiration for his people. Both students and faculty were moved by this profound insight into the life of a legend, His Highness Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan.
