The creative works reflecting life in the United Arab Emirates were handmade arts and crafts such as jewelry, paintings, sculptures, photographs, recycled art, perfumes, silk scarves, dolls, greeting cards, bookmarks, handbags, soaps, cupcakes, and many more unique items.

Ms. France LaBonte, author of Arabian Date Palm and Sheikh Zayed books, read from her latest book while featured musicians from The House of Arts provided beautiful music to enthusiastic shoppers.

Several hundred people from all nationalities were in attendance, with all proceeds of this event being donated to a local charity.

Tim Smith, Director for Al Ain Colleges said: “The event was an outstanding success for our community.”

“Our students do not just learn in the classroom. They take that classroom knowledge and apply that knowledge to create real business ventures such as today’s Souk,” he said.
